Why YL Products?

This following true statement is going to come as a shock to those who don’t already know but Europe has banned over 1100 toxic ingredients from their products such as lotions, baby products, perfumes, etc. The FDA (US) has banned 11.

Let it sink.

Then get mad because fucking why? Confused. You know why Europe smartened up? They realized that the ingredients they banned were causing breathing issues, hormone disruptions, infertility, as many more long term effects they still aren’t sure of.

Let me give you an example, Hydroquinone is an ingredient often found in skin products to help brighten the skin. Europe and Japan have outlawed it due to its cytotoxic nature. Hydroquinone kills cells and chromosomes if it is used too much, which sets the stage for some forms of cancer. While high doses of hydroquinone are banned in the US, prescription level amounts of 4% are readily available. There’s no evidence that this dosage doesn’t lead to cancer, so it makes the most sense to avoid hydroquinone completely.

Go ahead and do your own research as I have, don’t just take my word for it. It’s honestly horrifying and in my personal opinion explains why so many young people are suffering from cancer, asthma, etc. at such young ages. I mean seriously, why else?

It sucks a fat that we can’t trust the FDA and have to really research everything on our own but it’s reality and I am far from perfect but using all YL cleaning products helps me sleep better at night.

The Sharing Side of YL

What you need to succeed – your starter kit, a BIG heart and being present on social.

We help people better their lives and get paid for it. What a dream, right?
The only requirement is to spend 100pv on your ER each month. Spending 100pv is ensuring that you are going to get paid for everyone who will build under you.

The beauty of this business is that you can do this casually or fully dive in. It’s whatever you want! We don’t reprimand/judge/compare in this community, we build each other up! This is totally your business and you can run it however you like. If you want to casually sell a kit or two to pay a bill or two, tha’ts cool. If you want to make this your full time career, that’s cool too! You get what you put into it. It’s a beautiful thing.

You do not need to know everything to share about your oils. I have been oiling for years and I still do not know everything nor will I ever! Just be genuine and be you because YOU are amazing.

Business Docs/Oily Life

How to promote your event ✨

Text/message those who you think would be interested and add them to the FB event or send them the zoom link. Keep it personal and let them know why you think they would benefit from the class.

Post a pic on your personal wall with YOU (not a graphic) in it describing how oils have changed your life and ask who wants an invite. Post zoom link in comments for easy reference and right before the class comment on the pic.

Insta stories create so much engagement! Post the graphic but most importantly SHOW YOUR FACE! Hop on your stories and be like “yo tonight we are educating on this, come, all are welcome, etc. This is how such and such has changed my life and I want it to change yours.”

Send an email to your downlines right from your Virtual Office letting them know the details of your event.

If you are including a giveaway, post about that too! Might catch someones eye.

Keep a list of the definites and text them to remind them prior to the event. For example, for a zoom I usually text them the link 30 minutes prior to the class start time so it is top of their mind.

The Little Oilers Kit

Ahhhhhhh!! This one had me so excited.

This kit is geared towards babies and kiddos!!! And, until Sept 30th, new members will get a FREE KidPower oil and free shipping!

This comes with a Feather the Owl diffuser, which also has a nightlight and sound machine. Includes a set of 5ml bottles of Sleepyize, Owie, Geneyus, Sniffleease, and Tummygize and two roller fitments to pop on any oil you want for easy application!

// GENEYUS // Let’s call this one focus in a bottle. This oil is a game changer for anyone that has trouble focusing on one task! This is a great one to roller on the back of the neck (brain stem) before school work! Throw a few rolls on a leather bracelet or necklace, apply a bit to wrists when you really need to concentrate.

// SNIFFLEEASE // Looove this on little chests and backs! Full of powerful oils like Eucalyptus blue, Palo santo, Lavender, Dorado azul, Ravintsara, Myrtle, Eucalyptus globulus, Marjoram, Pine, Eucalyptus citriodora, Cypress, eucalyptus radiata, Black spruce and Peppermint oils, this is so so needed during the fall and winter to make little lungs happy! Remember how we talk about how much we LOVE those tree oils? YUP. Full of ’em!

// TUMMYGIZE //Leave this one out where the kids can grab it whenever they need it. It’s so beautiful to teach them to be in tune with their bodies needs! A swipe on the belly will help pretty much any issue feel better! A blend of Spearmint, Peppermint, Tangerine, Fennel, Anise, Ginger, and Cardamom, TummyGize is the perfect relaxing blend for massaging onto little tummies.

// SLEEPYIZE // This relaxing bedtime (or anytime!) blend is so beloved for all ages! SleepyIze contains a beautiful combination of Lavender, Geranium, Roman Chamomile, Tangerine, Bergamot, and Sacred Frankincense, as well as sleepytime favorites Valerian and Rue! I cannot tell you how much we adore this blend in our little ones’ diffusers at night, and rolled on to undersides of their big toes and down the spine. Perfect for nighttime bonding and snuggles, you are going to LOVE it!!

// OWIE // For allllll the boo-boos!!!! Another one to leave out where the kids can easily grab it when needed! It’s formulated with Tea Tree, Elemi, and other oils which are gentle and perfect for the skin, so keep this one handy for application whenever your little one needs some extra love and care.

// KIDPOWER // Free until Sept 30th! Bravery in a bottle for the littles! This NEW oil reminds me of Valor with a hint of an orange creamsicle. Roll on wrists or spine, or take a big inhale, when you’re going into a new situation and need some courage.

Sign me up, baby!

Grateful for my Job.

I just need to take a minute and say how thankful I am for this business. I decided to not go back to my full time, secure 9-5 job – where every day was the same and I was clearly unhappy – to pursue this dream job called Young Living. It is hard to even say that it is a job because to me it doesn’t feel like it at all. Getting paid to help people better their lives is just something else. Truly my calling I am so serious. I was SO nervous about not going back to that secure position but I wanted to stay home with my son and watch him grow into the little cutie that he is. It was a crazy transition and I worked my ass off but I made the right decision.

Here I am sitting here on vacation working here and there because the flexible hours are a BLESSING. Truly. I mean it is not easy building this business, it is hard work and you have to hustle for sure but IT IS POSSIBLE. Here I am doing it and I am just your average human. There’s ups and downs and highs and lows but this community and business is SO worth it.

The Starter Kit + Emotions

We use the kit to help balance and support our emotions. I can’t tell you how much this has changed my life. When I grabbed the kit I knew that there were endless benefits for your skin, hair and health but I had no idea how greatly this would help balance my anxiety and overall mental health.

Valor. I am starting with this oil because I will never be without this (and now my CBD calm roller). I call this oil liquid Xanax because I lean for this when I am feeling overwhelmed, mind race, and panic. The whole nine. I have a roller top on this guy so I will apply to my neck, wrists and bridge of nose. I also drop 2-3 droplets in my hand and inhale deeply about 5 times. Diffuse for a deep sleep because Lord knows how anxiety/depression take a toll on your zzz’s.

Peace + Calming. Another dream blend. My son has taken to this oil and we reach for it whenever he is overtired, overstimulated, stuck in a carseat (smh). This is usually being diffused at my house in the evening when we are winding down. I have the premade roller with me at all times.

Lavender. I’m sure you’ve heard that lavender promotes a deep sleep. This is very true but please do not just diffuse it. I literally drop it in my nighttime shower to wind down, I spray it on JJ’s sheets before he goes to bed, I spray it on my face because it hydrates my skin. All the things.

Frankincense. Skin gold but also the most grounding scent you can ever smell. I inhale and apply when I am doing yoga. It brings my mind back to earth and ceases the racing. I didn’t like the smell of this at first but have grown to be obsessed with it. Many diffuse this at night for a deep sleep but I haven’t brought myself to do that yet. I savor it for topical application. Amazing for immunity too so there you go.

Lemon, Citrus Fresh, Peppermint: All of these scents are uplifting when diffused and applied. If I am in a funk and having trouble getting out of bed in the morning (aka quarantine), I will make sure to have these in the diffuser ready to go for when I wake. Gives me an extra kick in the ass. All citrus scents are uplifting btw.

Stress Away. Does exactly what it says. See ya later stress. This smells like a vacation in a bottle and personally I only diffuse. Loveee to diffuse when we have company over to break the ice. Everyone always comments on the scent.

Sign me up, babe!

To All the Moms in Quarantine

Whether you have 1 kid or 5, stay at home or work, I see you, I am you, I’m flailing as well.

I had JJ in October and we were cooped up inside all winter while I tried to figure out how to be a mom, battle post partum anxiety, and deal with ground hogs day – every, single, day.

I didn’t go back to my full time job but I have my own business going on where I can work from home and have a flexible schedule. Seriously blessed to be able to have this opportunity and watch my son grow but have you ever tried to WFH with an infant let alone a kid of any age? It’s impossible. So I decide to get a sitter at least 2-3 times a week while I would go to Starbucks and work. This was simply amazing. Just what I needed, I felt back to myself again.

Then this shit happened. I think I got to enjoy ooh maybe 2 months of working outside of the home again (not even). Basically my maternity leave has been extended til further notice without any help from anyone, ever and nowhere to go except for a walk around the block – IF the weather permits which for the most part it has not. I feel that “is this my life now” feeling creeping back and it sucks. Now my husband is home working in what was once my office so it’s like a double kick because we are in each others spaces and he can’t even lend a hand because his show must go on. Most days I envy him having his own space and freedom to work. Though I love the flexibility of my job I am literally entertaining a 7 month old all day while trying to work a job that though flexible, requires a ton of communication and hard work. It’s an around the clock gig and I am trying to squeeze it into the 45 minutes naps I am getting. Legit bottle in one hand, laptop or phone in the other.

The word is draining. Some days I am fine, some days I wake up like “again?”. Many days I get to my breaking point. Then the mom guilt comes in. That’s the best. After trying to keep your shit together you lose it and you’re like damn I didn’t mean to do that. The hardest part is that there is no relief. No places to go, no people to help you out. It truly takes a village to raise children and right now us moms are working with a few lone soldiers who are freaking tired. I know we are all dealing with this in different way but I figured if anyone is on my page they might find some  solace in this piece.

Today was rough. And it’s 3pm … Tomorrow could be better, it could very well not be. C’est la vie.
